Before we start the Dev Note, we'd like to share news about SWC2023 first!

The ASIA-PACIFIC CUP ended on Oct. 21st, and the 8 world finalists from the China Qualification Match, Thailand Open Qualifier, AMERICAS CUP, EUROPE CUP, and ASIA-PACIFIC CUP have been confirmed.

We appreciate your interest and support for SWC2023!
The 4-month journey of SWC2023 since June is almost coming to an end.

The last part of the journey is the WORLD FINALS that begins on Nov. 4th!

Today, we'd like to tell you about 2 new Monsters and new Fusion recipes.

It's been a long time since we've had a new Fusion recipe since (Wind) Totemist.

Just like our team is, I'm sure many of you are excited to hear about the new Fusion recipe!

Let's get into it!

■ New Fusion Monster

- A new Fusion recipe will be added with the new Monsters in the next update.

Check out the design of the new Monsters below!

The two new Monsters are 5★ [Dokkaebi Lord] and 4★ [Dokkaebi Princess and Sapsaree].

As you can tell from their names, the Monsters are based on Dokkaebi, a goblin from the Korean folk tale.

From its appearance to skill effects and animations, we tried to express the aspects of Korean culture.

By looking at the attack animations of Dokkaebi Lord enlarging its body and swinging a bat to attack

and visual effects using Korean props such as a tiled roof, lucky pouch, and Korean brass coin,

you'll be able to see how the cultural aspects of Korea have blended with Summoners War.

Now, we'll introduce which attribute of [Dokkaebi Lord] and [Dokkaebi Princess and Sapsaree] will be the new Fusion Monster. ​

As for [Dokkaebi Lord], Dark attribute will be added to the new Fusion Monster.

It's a new Dark attribute Fusion Monster ever since (Dark) Ifrit.

(Dark) Dokkaebi Lord is an HP-type Monster who is very big with a weighty physique. It's rare to see this type of Monster in Summoners War.

As you can tell from its appearance, we expect that (Dark) Dokkaebi Lord will be viable in various PvE and PvP content with its high sustain and powerful damage. ​

Next, (Fire) [Dokkaebi Princess and Sapsaree] will be added as the new default 4★ Fusion Monster.

It's a Support-type Monster that fights with a big dog in the battle.

As it's a team of a little girl and a big dog, we imagined something like this: if Dokkaebi Princess is in danger, the dog, Sapsaree, protects the princess by fighting for her.

As a result, we thought it'd be interesting to have Sapsaree attack the enemy alone if the Dokkaebi Princess of [Dokkaebi Princess and Sapsaree] falls under inability effects.

Please check the table below for the skill descriptions!

As we mentioned before, Dokkaebi Princess and Sapsaree has a skill that has a unique mechanism: Sapsaree attacks the enemy to absorb its Attack Bar when the Dokkaebi Princess falls under inability effects.

In normal situations, Dokkaebi Princess and Sapsaree uses [Bring It Here] that creates a shield for an ally with the lowest HP status, [Run!!] that decreases Defense, and [Gold Please!] that grants immunity and increases the chances of landing a Critical Hit.

With such skills, we expect the Dokkaebi Princess and Sapsaree will be a great Support-type Monster that provides sustain for your team in PvE content such as the Spiritual Realm.

We're super excited to see how [Dokkaebi Lord] and [Dokkaebi Princess and Sapsaree] will be used in various content of Summoners War.

■ New Fusion Recipe

The new Monster Fusion recipe will include the following: [Dokkaebi Lord], [Dokkaebi Princess and Sapsaree], and [Onimusha].

- (Dark) Dokkaebi Lord (Default 5★ Monster)

- (Fire) Dokkaebi Princess and Sapsaree (Default 4★ Monster)

- (Water) Onimusha (Default 4★ Monster)
