Greetings from the Summoners War Dev Team!

It's been a while since the last Dev Note. This time, we'd like to tell you about the collaboration update you're all super excited about - the Assassin's Creed collaboration!

We've prepared a collaboration between Assassin's Creed, one of the most popular video games in the world, to provide more fun content in Summoners War.

Thanks to all the support and interest you've shown us for the Summoners War x Assassin's Creed collaboration, the Dev Team promises that this will be another successful collaboration.

Before diving into the Dev Note, please check out the video we've prepared below!

▶ Summoners War x Assassin's Creed

The Templars are infiltrating the Sky Island on Feb. 28th and challenging the Assassins Brotherhood from Assassin's Creed.

Now, you are to team up with the assassins from the Assassin Headquarters that appeared on the Sky Island to fight against the Templars.

Are you ready to defeat the Templars and protect our Sky Island with the assassins from the Assassin Brotherhood we're about to introduce?

▶ Assassin's Creed Collab Monsters

Assassin's Creed is a stealth, action-adventure game involving the Assassin Brotherhood in various historical periods and places. Since it first launched in 2007, the Assassin’s Creed series has sold more than 200 million games worldwide.

We selected [Altaïr, Ezio, Kassandra, Bayek, and Eivor] that appeared from Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed® Revelations, Assassin's Creed Origins, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Assassin's Creed® Valhalla, respectively, as our collab Monsters.

Like the previous collaborations, the Assassin's Creed collab Monsters only have awakened names.

There are Nat 4 and 5 collab Monsters in each attribute. For example, Water/Fire/Light Ezio will come in 5★ while Wind/Darkness Ezio comes in 4★.

As the selected characters are the protagonists of each Assassin's Creed series, we decided to design the collab Monsters as both 4★ and 5★ instead of picking one to design as Nat 5.

With this, you can utilize the collab Monsters in various content in the game.

Now, we'll get to the part everyone is curious about - the skills of collab Monsters!

Let's look at how the skills of original characters from Assassin's Creed have been reproduced in Summoners War style!

We found Eivor's [Rage of Helheim] the most interesting.

Compared to how the skill could inflict more attacks by spamming the button, Rage of Helheim has been transformed into a skill that inflicts 4 consecutive attacks and Continuous Damage to fit the turn-based battle system of Summoners War.

You'll also find the skill effects and animations appealing. Try to compare the differences between the skill animations presented in both games and witness how the skill animations have been expressed in Summoners War style!

Please look forward to the full skill sets of Monsters in different attributes once the update goes live.

In addition to collab Monsters, various types of content where you can enjoy the collaboration to the fullest have been added.

Let's check out the details of the new content for the Assassin's Creed collaboration now!

▶ Collab Exclusive Content! 【Event Dungeon】

We created a collab event dungeon in a unique way so you can enjoy the collaboration even more.

Check out the special features of the event dungeon below.

Like the previous collab, the icon of the event dungeon will be added to the world map as shown below. You can enter the event dungeon by tapping the icon.

The concept of the event dungeon is that Summoners War and collab Monsters are working together to defeat the Templars hiding in a virtual space called Animus.

By clearing each stage connected in square-shaped blocks until you reach the Boss Stage, you can select random effects provided upon clearing a stage as a reward to help you out in battles.

Then, let's talk about the details of the event dungeon.

▶ Collab Exclusive Content! 【Event Dungeon】 Details

This is the map screen of the event dungeon.

① Starting Point: The event dungeon begins from here.

② Battle Stages: Each stage has unique effects. More details of the Battle Stages can be found below.

③ Boss Stage: A stage with a boss of the corresponding difficulty. You can proceed to the next difficulty upon clearing the boss.

■ 3 Difficulties (Normal, Hard, and Hell)

At first, you'll begin with Normal difficulty and reach Hard and Hell after you complete each difficulty.

You can proceed to the next difficulty by clearing the boss in the last stage of each difficulty.

Not only the event dungeon has various buff effects, but also they have special rules.

The final goal of the event dungeon is to use these effects and rules to clear the boss of the Hell difficulty.

Now, we'll walk you through the effects and rules of the event dungeon.

▶ Features of the 【Event Dungeon】

■ Assassin's Creed Collab Monsters Available

You can select one of the four collab Monsters provided upon your first entry to the event dungeon to use in the event dungeon.

The provided Monster comes with 6★ MAX Lv., fully leveled up skills, Runes, and Artifacts - they are ready to enter the battle right away! (However, it can only be used in the event dungeon, and you cannot change the equipped Runes and Artifacts.)

One collab Monster will be provided per difficulty (Normal/Hard/Hell) in the selection screen, up to three collab Monsters.

We implemented this feature for Summoners who need more Monsters to use or wish to create various strategies with collab Monsters.

Remember that this doesn't mean you must use the provided Monster in battles! We want you to try out various team compositions.

■ Restriction on Defeated Monsters

Monsters that are defeated by the time of clearing the event dungeon cannot be used again for battles in the corresponding week.

Because of this, you must try to keep your Monsters alive at the time of clearing the battle.

Don't worry! There's a special stage where you can revive a Monster.

Let's learn about what kind of special stages there are besides the revival stage.

■ Battle Stages With Various Effects

Did you notice that the patterns engraved on the stage blocks differed when we first showed the event dungeon map?

Each pattern features the unique characteristics of each battle stage. The 4 types of battle stages are as follows.

① Normal: Monsters from Summoners War appear in 3 waves.

② Elite: More powerful Monsters from Summoners War appear.

③ Revival: You can revive 1 defeated Monster.

④ Boss: The final boss of the stage appears.

As you can predict the type of the stage by the engraved pattern, try to choose the most optimal path!

You can obtain special rewards called Loot, including basic victory rewards, by winning a battle in all stages besides the Revival Stage.

This time, we'll tell you what kind of effects you can receive from Loots.

■ Special effects are granted via Loots upon clearing each stage.

We mentioned earlier that you can select the random effects provided as the clear reward when we introduced the event dungeon.

After clearing each stage, you can obtain Loots and gain random effects.

Please take a look at the Loot selection screen down below.

As you can see, the Loot selection screen appears in the results screen after clearing a stage.

There are three random effects, and you can select one among them.

Loots grant special effects such as enhancing your Monster stats or granting special abilities. The effects from Loots are accumulated and remain even if you proceed to the next difficulty of the event dungeon. (However, as the event dungeon resets every week, please note the effects from Loots will also be reset.)

Let's take a sneak peek at the effects of Loots!

There are a total of 77 effects.

The higher the difficulty, the better the effect of Loots becomes. If you want to get better Loots, try to clear the Elite Stage!

This time, we'll introduce the boss Monsters of the event dungeon.

▶ Boss Monsters of the 【Event Dungeon】

The attribute of the boss Monsters from the Templars differs by difficulty.

The attributes change regularly according to the weekly dungeon reset.

We'll reveal one of the three attributes here.

The Wind Legion Commander of Judgment comes with three powerful passive skills.

As Legion Commander of Judgment inflicts massive damage upon stacking 10 Power of Relics, make sure you defeat it before it gains all the stacks.

(You can prevent Legion Commander of Judgment from gaining the power of relics by utilizing both offense and defense. Try to come up with a balanced team composition.)

There's an astonishing animation you can see in the boss battles of the event dungeon.

It's the highlight of Assassin's Creed - [Assassination] scene!

If you have a collab Monster in your party, you'll see a special animation of the collab Monster assassinating the boss Monster.

As each collab Monster has its own assassination scenes, try checking out all of the assassination scenes if you've summoned the collab Monsters!

You can also check the assassination scenes with collab Monsters provided at the beginning of the event dungeon.

Last but not least, let's go over the event dungeon rewards.

▶ 【Event Dungeon】 Rewards

You can obtain different rewards upon clearing the boss Monster in the last stage of each difficulty.

You can obtain Weekly Special Reward upon clearing the boss Monster of Hell difficulty.

Besides the special rewards that change weekly, there's a new event currency called Codex. Collect Codices and exchange them for various rewards on the event page.

We hope you all defeat the Templars and claim these amazing rewards!

(We'll get to the details of Codices shortly.)

The collab event dungeon is refreshed every week.

The event dungeon will begin every Monday and end on Sunday every week after the first week of the collab update patch on Feb. 28th. (The reset time is based on server time, and it'll proceed on Sunday at midnight.)

That's about it for the overall structure and rewards of the event dungeon.

We hope you all look forward to the new event dungeon and enjoy it!

And, we're not done yet! We have more collab exclusive content for you to enjoy.

▶【Assassin Headquarters】 Building

■ Assassin Headquarters in the Sky Island

Assassin Headquarters will be replacing the dock located on the edge of the Sky Island.

You can check out special missions at the Assassin Headquarters.

You can clear repetitive missions and one-time missions such as clearing dungeons, using Energy, powering up Runes and Artifacts, and more!

3 Codices will be provided as the fixed reward for the completion rewards. You can also obtain bonus rewards such as Mana Stones, Energy, and Crystals.

This is what Codex looks like!

Collect Codices and exchange them for various items on the event page during the collab period!
