Greetings from the Summoners War Dev Team!

As you may know, we will be having a second collaboration with an amazing game!

We have tried out many different and new approaches to the collaboration with a lengthy preparation time. As we are at the final stage of preparation, our aim is to release the update collaboration on Aug. 29th.

■ Summoners War X Cookie Run: Kingdom

A sweet scent is filling up the Sky Island on Aug. 29th! 

Summoners War’s second collaboration is with none other than Cookie Run: Kingdom.

Cookie Run: Kingdom is a game by Devsisters using its famous Cookie Run IP. It’s a kingdom builder & battle RPG where users build their own kingdom and enjoy battle content with various compositions made by collecting unique Cookies in the game. It has a delicate and well-written storyline, having a concrete fan base all around the globe.

Our team decided to have a collab with Cookie Run: Kingdom as we have similar yet totally different characteristics.

A collective RPG, turn-based battle type, and decorating the village are some of the common factors that could naturally blend into Summoners War, and adorable concepts and designs expressed in 2D in a 3D environment could bring such fun to Summoners War when they're interpreted in our own style.

We would like to introduce the main content of this collab throughout this note.

■ Cookie Run: Kingdom Collab Cookies

We have selected five Cookies as collaboration characters - [GingerBrave, Pure Vanilla Cookie, Hollyberry Cookie, Espresso Cookie, and Madeleine Cookie] - among the Cookies of Cookie Run: Kingdom.

Just like our first collab, the collab Cookies will not have an unawakened form, and they will be added as an original character that uses its own name in awakened form.

Each Cookie of Cookie Run: Kingdom has original skill with a basic attack. To implement this feature to Summoners war, we designed the basic attack motions as the first skill, and the original skill as the second skill so it can be used more widely.

The remaining skills were designed newly, and our team did our best to create the skills while retaining the original concept of the characters.

These unique Cookies may look cute, but their skills are on another level!

For instance, Hollyberry Cookie with Defend skills may come fresh and interesting to many of you. We have only shared one attribute for each, so please stay tuned to find out the full skill sets of all five attributes when the update goes live.

We wanted to not only introduce the new characters but also different types of content that you can enjoy from the collab, as we will explain more below.

■ Cookie Run: Kingdom Collab Exclusive Content

- A new format of special collab event dungeon will be added.

This is what the special event dungeon, which will be available during the collab period only, will look like!

We reproduced the elements of the dungeon from Cookie Run: Kingdom and integrated them into Summoners War.

Unlike in Summoners War, where the dungeon is preceded by each wave, this special dungeon will be in a format where the flow of the battle continues. You will see the Monsters marching forward whenever they defeat the group of enemy Monsters. In addition, we’ve used a different camera view that we haven’t introduced yet in the game, which will also be interesting to watch.

This collab event dungeon will become more interesting if you use collab Cookies in the battle!

As we explained above that Cookies have their own original skill, a special skill visual effect will be displayed when the collab Cookies use their original skill (second skill) in the event dungeon.

Moreover, the Red Velvet Dragon will appear as the final boss through an update in September, so stay tuned to find out how the Red Velvet Dragon will look in Summoners War!

Red Velvet Dragon is a boss of the dungeon from guild content in Cookie Run: Kingdom, but it will appear in a single dungeon in Summoners War.

- A Bear Jelly Balloon will be available in the Sky Island during the collab period.

Have you noticed the empty dock on one side of the Sky Island? The Bear Jelly Balloon from Cookie Run: Kingdom will be visiting this dock! We have prepared content that allows you to send a group of Monsters on an expedition through this balloon for a fixed amount of time, and once the expedition is over, you will get an expedition completion reward. The Monsters sent to the expedition can still be used in the content battle, so feel free to send your Monsters for an epic expedition!

- The Cookies of Cookie Run: Kingdom will appear in the Trial of Ascension.

Trial of Ascension that begins in September will have the collab Cookies appear as the boss on every 10th floor. A Cookie Run: Kingdom Scroll that only summons the Cookie Run: Kingdom Collab Cookies will be available as a reward for clearing the 50th floor in Normal Mode, so make sure to climb your way through the top!

Trial of Ascension resets on Sep. 14th 10pm PDT.

- Summoner X will appear as an arena rival.

The Summoner X that only appears during the collab period! Which Monster deck will this mysterious Summoner X have? Please be sure to enter the arena to find out.

Along with the collab content, we have prepared many fun collab events for you to enjoy. 

And you may wonder when the collab will start and how you can obtain these cool Collab Cookies.

We will explain those now!

■ Collab Schedule and How to Obtain the Collab Cookies

▶ Collab Schedule

The Cookie Run: Kingdom Collab will be introduced through the next v7.0.2 update.

Our target date is Aug. 29th, which means the collab will start on Aug. 29th and end in early November.

We will inform you promptly if there are any changes in the update schedule.

▶ How to Obtain the Collab Cookies

The Collab Cookies can be obtained through summoning during the collab period, and they can no longer be obtained once the collab is over. The Collab Cookies summoned during the collab period can be used in the game permanently.

※ Collab Cookie Summon Method

- The Collab Cookies can be summoned with a fixed chance through the existing summon method.

The Collab Cookies can be summoned through all summons that summons a default 4-5★ Monsters excluding the Summoning Stone and Legendary Summoning Stone.

In addition, a Cookie Run: Kingdom Scroll which summons only the collab Cookies will be added. This special scroll can be obtained through collab events that will be held in the game.

▶ What’s the Cookie Run: Kingdom Scroll?

It’s an exclusive scroll that only summons a collab Cookie. One 4-5★ Cookie among collab Cookies with one attribute (Fire/ Water/ Wind/ Light/ Dark) will be summoned. GingerBrave that can be obtained through a collab event will not be summoned.

In the last Street Fighter V collaboration, we introduced the Summoners War original Monsters that have the same stats and skills from that of the collab Monsters since the collab Monsters cannot be obtained after a limited period of time and to prevent the collab Monsters from hurting the game strategy and balance. We believe that these original Monsters gave a positive impact and complemented our concerns. Thus, we will be adding Summoners War original Monsters from this collab as well.

■ Summoners War Original Monsters

Our team put a lot of thought into the original Monsters to design unique Monsters that would have a somewhat similar image to the collab Cookies.

Check out the image below and take a look at how the original Monsters look like!

The original Monsters and collab Cookies have different appearance and skill effects, but will have the same stats and skills. 

Because they have the same stats and skills, the collab Cookies and the original Monsters can power up their skills when they are used as power-up materials for each other.

Are you excited to also meet these original Monsters with a concept of sweet dessert kingdom?

These Monsters can be obtained after the collab period is over, and we will put up a follow-up notice regarding these details in the future.

Lastly, we would like to discuss additional points about the collab Cookies.

■ Additional Notice

- Collab special events will be held from Aug. 29th.

We will be holding collab special events to even further enhance your gameplay during the collab period.

The collab special events will not only have rich rewards such as Cookie Run: Kingdom Collab Scroll, Devilmon, Legendary Scroll, and collab exclusive building where you can place the Cookies, but also a little more special reward.

It's a type of buff item that will allow you to pick the rune set option that's dropped in the Cairos Dungeon.

When you use this item, you will be able to decide which rune set type you will be getting from a certain dungeon for one hour.

We hope you will enjoy the collab content while farming the runes you have been in need of.

More details on the collab special events will be notified through a separate notice, so please stay tuned.

- China server will have the original Monster updated during the collab period.

The collab update will be released in all servers excluding the China server due to internal circumstances. Also, please note that all content and events related to the collab will be replaced with the original Monsters. We ask for your generous understanding.

Please note that everything informed above besides the replacement of Collab Monsters will be applied to the China server.
