[Info] Arena Interserver Battle Improvement 2022.01.29

Greetings from the Summoners War Dev Team!

We are back again to talk about the second season of Arena Interserver Battle.

After the content was introduced last December, we’ve been monitoring your valuable feedback that you all shared throughout various channels.

Based on your feedback, we’ve prepared additional improvements for the content, which will be implemented to the game when the second season starts.

We would like to talk about the improvements we’ve prepared in today’s dev note, so please continue to read below.

1. Arena Interserver Battle - Team MAX Players Reduced and Reward Systems Changed

▶ Each representative team will now have 25 players instead of 50 players.

: There will be 400 teams in total instead of 200 teams in each server. (200 teams with 50 members each → 400 teams with 25 members each)

▶ Glory EXP obtained from winning will be increased.

The attack attempts have been reduced to 25 times, but the reward EXP will be doubled, allowing users to obtain the same amount of rewards as before.

▶ Summoners will be able to obtain Glory EXP from losing.

Glory EXP was available as battle victory reward only, but a small amount of Glory EXP can be obtained now even from losing.

This means that it’s now more important than before to use your attack chances to get more rewards!

▶ The victory point of the server rep team is reflected differently according to the team section.

In season 1, one point was given equally to determine the winner of the round.

In season 2, we would like to differentiate the victory points for each team as follows.

▶ The weekly and season final reward (Glory EXP) according to the assigned team rankings will be changed as follows.

As each server will now have 400 teams, the team criteria in the reward section has been changed.

▶ Some of the battle reward conditions have been changed.

▶ The number of representatives and method of selection will remain the same.

Although the number of team members and the point system will change, please note that a total of 10,000 Summoners will be selected as server representatives from each server. (If Summoners have the same rank, a Summoner who achieved the rank first will advance)

Our team decided to make these improvements and modifications to reduce the burden of attacking 50 times a week and to strengthen the rewards Summoners obtain.

But it would be a disappointment if only 10,000 representatives can play and experience the Interserver Battle.

Therefore, we would like to provide an opportunity to play Interserver Battle even for those who are not selected as the server representatives by adding the [Interserver Battle Special]!

2. [Interserver Battle Special]

Arena Interserver Battle Special

- It’s an interserver battle where Summoners with Lv. 30+ who are not selected as server representatives can participate in.

- Summoners can enter the battle freely while the Arena Interserver Battle is live.

- Glory EXP can be obtained as the battle win/loss rewards.

- A total of 25 battle attempts will be given per round.

- For the Arena Interserver Battle Special, team victory rewards or season rewards are not available.

We will now explain the interserver battle special in more details.

You will see the number of battles available for interserver battle is exposed in the area where your information is displayed.

When you tap the Battle button, a list of 25 defense decks of the opposing server Summoners with a similar arena weekly closing points will be exposed.

A certain amount of Glory EXP is provided as a reward depending on the battle results.

Please note that you can still earn Glory EXP even if you lose in battles, so feel free to try out the content and earn Glory EXP!

3. Other Improvements

▶ Debate Board

The Debate menu is a team-only board where you can freely leave messages. Only the Summoners of the same server representative team can use and view the board.

In the post, the ongoing round info is automatically displayed, and Summoners can like the posts others write.

We have added this debate menu as a forum for communication between members of the same rep team. We look forward to seeing Summoners utilizing this menu to discuss possible strategy and more.

Please note that the posts written will remain during the interserver battle season and will reset when the season ends.

▶ Arena Interserver Battle Menu UI Improvement

- Main pop-up UI will be changed as follows.

Do you notice the difference from the above image?

The UI screen will be changed so that you can check the progress of the glory rewards from the main screen.

On the right side of the screen, it shows which reward is available next as well as your current Glory EXP.

- A UI has been added to show the number of each Summoner in the bracket.

With the addition of the debate menu, we thought that a more strategic team play would be possible if Summoners could clearly state the defense deck of the opposing server on the debate board.

Therefore, we have added numbers to defense decks, allowing Summoners to clearly state which defense deck they are talking about.

Lastly, we would like to talk about the season 2 bracket and schedule.

Arena Interserver Season 2 Schedule Details

This is all we have for today’s dev note!

We hope you are excited to see the improvements we have made for the Arena Interserver Battle.

(The developer’s note is intended to help you understand the upcoming update in advance. As development and testing are still underway, we ask you to understand that the actual update may be different from what we have shared in this note.)

The qualifiers will be held from Jan. 31st and Feb. 6th, so if you are looking forward to participating in the Arena Interserver Battle as one of the server representatives, please make sure to enter the Arena and fight until the weekly closing (Feb. 6th 10pm in server time)!
