[Info] v6.3.1 Update Story 2021.06.07

Greetings from the Summoners War Dev Team!

It's been only few weeks since our previous note! We are excited to be back again with another exciting news.

Before we start talking about the upcoming v6.3.1 update news, we would like to first thank our Summoners.

Our 7th anniversary event that began on the first day of 2021 has ended. We had many new Summoners and returning Summoners with this update, and the Sky Islands have been busier than ever!

The event was held for quite a long time, but it was all possible thanks to our Summoners and their great participations. Our team will always do our best to provide satisfactory service for all.

We have been releasing updates for various QoL improvements and such for new, returning and existing Summoners this year.

From season achievements, victory points and closing reward improvements in World Arena,

multi-battle content where you can use other battle contents while using the repeat battle,

Battle Training Ground where you can experience various battles utilizing monsters,

Arena glory point building and victory point improvements,

and many other improvements to ease the early accessibility to various types of content.

In addition to these, we've also had updates such as rune/artifact power-up speed improvements, essence break down function, friend rep usage improvements that had positive feedbacks from our Summoners.

As you may know already, we are holding a global service 7th anniversary event in the game currently. The event is filled with various rewards and information, so we hope you will also enjoy this event as much as you did the previous 7th anniversary events.

Our team is currently working hard to prepare the v6.3.1 update, and we would like to talk about what we are preparing in this dev note.

Please read below for more info!

- Some stats that are designed according to the monster’s levels (less than MAX Lv.) will be adjusted.

Evolutions that increase the monster’s star grade is one of the essential processes for making a monster stronger since it increases the monster’s basic stats.

However, once the monster is evolved to the next star grade, the monster’s level goes back to Lv. 1, having the monster’s stats decreased compared to before the evolution.

The stats will be increased again as the monster levels up, but we think this process could be burdensome for new Summoners with their monster upgrading process, so we would like to improve as follows.

- The stats before evolution (MAX Lv.) and after evolution (Lv. 1) will be adjusted so that they remain the same.

When evolving a monster, Lv. 1 stats will be adjusted to be the same as the MAX Lv. stats before the evolution. The value of stats that increase for each level up will be lowered, so the MAX Lv. stats for each grade remain the same.

This way, monster’s stats will not be affected by the evolution but will be increased gradually, so new Summoners who are using monsters after the evolution will have less trouble.

Please see the images below for a better understanding. We have prepared some pictures of Water Magic Knight’s stat info screen when she is 5-star at MAX Lv., and 6-star at Lv. 1.

These are the stats of Water Magic Knight of the current version.

Her HP, ATK, DEF stats decrease when 5-star MAX Lv. is evolved to 6-star Lv. 1.

After the improvement, the stats of 5-star MAX Lv. and 6-star Lv. 1 are the same.

This will allow Summoners to utilize the monsters after evolutions without worrying about the decreased stats!

We have another improvement we are preparing with this update, which is the adjustment of 2nd awakening EXP!

2nd awakening not only changes the appearance of monsters, but also makes them more powerful.

2A monsters are well utilized in Cairos dungeon, guild battle, siege battle, world arena and more.

We have introduced a total of ten 2A monsters since our first update of Karzhan and Ellunia in June, 2019.

We are happy to see many 2A monsters getting acknowledged by users, but we thought that the 2A monsters could be a burden for new Summoners because there are too many monsters they have to build.

Existing Summoners were able to 2nd awaken the monsters step by step in line with the 2A monster updates, but Summoners who recently started playing the game are faced with so many options.

In addition, since the Dimension Hole Energy is recharged every fixed time, which is longer than the regular Energy, and cannot be acquired easily from other rewards, new and returning Summoners will face more difficulty 2nd awakening the monsters.

To resolve these issues, we would like to adjust the amount of 2nd awakening EXP so Summoners can 2nd awaken the monsters with more ease.

- The amount of 2nd awakening EXP that you acquire from clearing the 2A dungeon will be increased.

- The 2A EXP for all 2A dungeons and all difficulty levels (1 to 5), especially the lower difficulty levels, will be significantly increased.

Please take a look at the following table for a better understanding.

As you can see, with the increased amount of 2A EXP, you will now have to run less no. of battles to reach 100% 2A EXP!

We hope this adjustment will help you to 2nd awaken the monsters faster so you can utilize the 2A monsters in various contents. Please make sure to go ahead and 2nd awaken the monsters that you would like to with this update!

Lastly, we have another great news for Summoners for not only new/ returning users but also who are trying hard to clear B12 dungeons in Cairos Dungeon.

Difficulty level and rewards of B11 in Cairos Dungeon will be improved!

- B11 of the Giant’s Keep, Dragon’s Lair and Necropolis in Cairos Dungeon will be improved.

The past Cairos Dungeon update was released to increase the accessibility of overall rune farming by expanding the dungeons to B12 and having higher grade runes to be dropped as rewards. However, due to the difficulty, a gap between Summoners who can farm in B12 and who cannot started to get bigger.

Therefore, we would like to adjust the reward and difficulty of B11 – this way, B11 will work as a stepping stone where Summoners can feel a sense of growth through farming on B11 and then take the next step to attack and farm B12 when they are ready.

- The difficulty level of Giant’s Keep, Dragon’s Lair and Necropolis’ B11 will be lowered.

: The B11 boss’ HP, ATK and DEF will be adjusted so the Summoners who are currently farming in B10 can challenge B11 more easily.

- The rune drop rate of B11 will be improved as follows.

: 5-star rare runes and 5-star hero runes will no longer be dropped.

: The rune drop rate of 5-star runes will be decreased, and the drop rate of 6-star runes will be increased overall.

- The amount of Energy used to enter B11 will be decreased from 9 to 8.

We would like to reduce the amount of Energy to 8, which is the same as the B10, to lessen the burden.

We noticed many Summoners who are new to the game having trouble clearing B12 in Cairos Dungeon. We hope this upcoming improvement will be helpful for them!

This is all we have for today!

We hope you are excited for the upcoming update.

The details discussed in this note will be implemented via next update, so please stay tuned.

The developer’s note is intended to help you understand the upcoming updates in advance.

As development and testing are still underway, we ask you to understand that the actual update may be different from what we have shared in this note.
