We hope everyone has been doing great.

 

First of all, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to our Summoners who have been showing great interest on our upcoming update even during this pandemic period.

 

Recently, we have released a massive update pre-registration notice and held the online user meet-up to introduce the update in advance.

Thanks to our Summoners, we have successfully held the event.

 

In today's note, we would like to give out more details on the upcoming update. Please read below for further info.

 

 ▶ New Dimension Hole Dungeon! Dimension Predator 

 

Dimension Predator - a mysterious being that absorbs and indulges magic constantly and wanders through various dimensions - has appeared in the Dimension Karzhan where the wild beasts live in the deep forest. The Dimension Predator not only has a dark atmosphere and a bizarre form, but also massive power. 

 

The Dimension Predator Dungeon is battle content that focuses on the fun of battle, which is one of the characteristics of a turn-based RPG. It's battle content where the deck compositions and strategy are more important than the monster's specifications. This new dungeon is designed to enhance your desire for challenge and focus on the strategical battle with the following details.​

 

▷ [Dimension Predator] Dungeon

 

- It's a dungeon with high difficulty level that requires manual battle.

: It consists of 4 waves including the mid-boss wave, and a total of 3 phases will be played against the final boss, Dimension Predator.

 

- The basic Attack Power, Defense, and HP of Monsters will be increased by 10 times. In case of Attack Speed, the basic stat + (additional stat*1/10) will be applied.

- If the Critical Damage of Monsters is below 150%, the Critical Damage will be revised to be 150%.

: This means a strategy built based on the deck composition is more important than increasing stats of monsters with runes.

 

- The dungeon is a Monthly Dungeon, meaning it can be played once a month.

: You can clear the dungeon once only while the dungeon is open, and you cannot enter again once it is cleared.

 

- Each dimension's entrance limit condition will be applied as the same.

: Dimension Predator will appear in different dimensions every month, and the predator will first appear in the Dimension Karzhan, which means that you can enter the dungeon with only default 4-star or below Monsters.

 

- You can enter the dungeon with five monsters.

: In case of Dimension Lumel, its entrance condition is "The sum of default star grade of monsters is 15 or lower", based on the four monsters. Thus, a separate entrance limit condition will be applied afterwards.

 

- 1 Dimension Hole Energy will be consumed for one entrance count.

 

With these characteristics, we think the Dimension Predator Dungeon will be a new type of dungeon that Summoners haven't experienced before in the game. Let's talk more about the basic stats getting increased by 10 times.

 

For your understanding, please take a look at these two Lushen.

 


[Changes in the dimension predator dungeon battle]


 

On the left, we have Lushen with 5-star Hero runes engraved. On the right, we have Lushen with 6-star Legendary runes engraved.

These two will have a significant difference normally, but when they enter the Dimension Predator Dungeon, only about 4% difference exists in the Attack Power due to the 10x buff.

 

This means that you have to understand the dungeon and utilize your monsters.

So we are confident to say that the Dimension Predator Dungeon is also a great dungeon for Summoners who are still progressing through the game to enter and challenge.​

 

Let's talk about the Dimension Predator, the powerful boss of this dungeon. 

 

[Dimension Predator - Boss Battle] 


 

A battle against the Dimension Predator will consisted of 3 phases. Every time the phase changes, the boss will use the [Soul Clone] skill. 

[Soul Clone] skill copies the Summoner's monsters with the highest Attack Power and Defense each to create two illusions. If you don't defeat these illusions, the boss' Attack Power will be increased greatly in the next phase. It is important to defeat these illusions within the limited turns!

 

We hope many Summoners will experience the fun of turn-based battle, thinking and trying out various strategy in each turn. 

 

Now, let's talk about the rewards given when you clear the Dimension Predator battle.​

 

[Dimension Predator Dungeon Reward]

When you clear the Dimension Predator dungeon, 2 types of reward box will be given.

From the first box, five of 6-star Ancient Runes (Legendary grade) with fixed main property and sub-properties will appear, and you can select one of them to acquire. The runes that will be available as five runes in the Dimension Predator Dungeon that opens up in the Dimension Karzhan are:

 


 

Summoners can choose one of five runes to acquire. Which one do you like the most?

 

As you can see, the types of runes given as reward are the same type of runes dropped in the Karzhan.

Dimension Predator moves to another dimension each month, so the five types of runes presented as reward will be changed to the rune sets available in each dimension. You can also see the changed rune info before the battle from the Drop Info menu.

For instance, if the Dimension Predator appears in the Dimension Ellunia, 6-star Ancient Legendary Rune of Despair/ Endure/ Nemesis/ Will/ Accuracy will be available.

 

From the second box, random rewards including Ancient Grindstone or Ancient Gem, Ancient Magic Stone, Rune Ore and Ancient Magic Origin will be available.

 

 

 

Summoners will be able to enjoy battles using monsters with enhanced power in the battlefield designed with a high difficulty level.

We hope Summoners will experience an exhilarating sense of achievement with successful attacks and enjoy the rewards.

Also, we hope that this will become a place where you can use various monsters for your own strategy.​

 

Now, we are excited to talk about the main update of this massive update - Cairos Dungeon Modification.

This will be the biggest change we made on the Cairos Dungeon.

We will talk more about it in two sections:

 

- 2 New Dungeons with "Artifacts"

- Giant's Keep/ Dragon's Lair/ Necropolis Improvement

 

▶ New Dungeons! Steel Fortress & Punisher's Crypt

 

New dungeons where bosses with powerful ancient power reside in have been added to the Cairos Dungeon.

Shall we talk about the Steel Fortress, first? 

 

[Steel Fortress]


 

Ancient Tormentor, the boss of [Steel Fortress] has a strong defense ability, just like its heavy appearance.

Ancient Tormentor has a skill that grants four beneficial effects on himself. The boss gets stronger with the beneficial effects, so we recommend you to remove these beneficial effects to lead the battle to your advantage.

Also, be prepared for the thunderbolt that drops from time to time to win the battle against the Ancient Tormentor.​

 

Let's take a look at the Punisher's Crypt now.

 

[Punisher's Crypt]


 

Ancient Punisher, the boss of [Punisher's Crypt] gives a different sense of pressure than the Ancient Tormentor.

If the Ancient Tormentor felt heavy and hard, the Ancient Punisher feels sharp and fancy. The Ancient Punisher has the fastest attack speed than any other bosses ever.

 

Ancient Punisher has special passive skills that gets stronger as the boss gets turns.

These skills become even more powerful depending on the attack speed of the punisher, so make sure to lower the attack speed of the punisher and finish the battle as soon as possible.

 

Punisher's Crypt is the light dungeon, and Steel Fortress is the wind dungeon.

These two dungeons consist of 10 floors with 4 waves in each floor.

 

The bosses sure have powerful skills that you haven't experienced yet, but we strongly believe that Summoners will be able to create their own strategy and defeat them in no time.​

 

 

Now, we will explain about the special rewards that can only be acquired from the new dungeons, [Artifacts].

 

▶ New Equipment - Artifact

 

Artifact is new equipment that increases the ATK, DEF or HP and grants additional effects with new types of sub-properties. Artifacts are divided into Attribute Artifact and Type Artifact, and you can equip one of each to monsters.

 


 

▷ Artifact Types

- Attribute Artifact

It's consisted of Fire, Water, Wind, Light, and Dark attributes and can be equipped to the monster of the same attribute. 

 

- Type Artifact

It's consisted of Attack, Defense, HP, and Support types and can be equipped to the monster of the same type.

 


 

Take a look at the Fire Attribute Artifact and Attack Type Artifact as an example.

The Artifacts are divided into two types, and be noted that the Artifacts can be equipped to the monster of the same type and attribute.​

 

▷ [Artifact] Main Property

Each Artifact will have one of HP/ATK/DEF as the main property with a fixed value.

Artifacts can be powered up to +15, and the stat value will increase as it gets powered up as follows.

 

▷ [Artifact] Sub-properties

The no. of sub-properties will be decided based on the grade of Artifacts (Magic/Rare/Hero/Legend), which is the same as for Runes.

Also, the Artifact will have either a new sub-property granted or one of existing sub-properties' value increased in power-up +3, +6, +9, +12, depending on the grade (Normal - Legend) just like the runes.

 

So what are the special characteristic of Artifacts?

As mentioned earlier, the Artifacts have sub-properties made up of a variety of additional effects that are beneficial to battle that weren't available in the runes.

Please take a look at the chart below for a better understanding.

 


* The maximum value of a sub-property is the value that was powered up 4 times with the maximum value.

 

There are so many properties!

Summoners will be able to equip Artifacts to enhance the points that monsters were lacking or to amplify the special abilities that monsters possess. 

 

Artifacts will be dropped in [Steel Fortress/ Punisher's Crypt], and you will be able to acquire higher grade Artifacts for clearing floors with higher level.

Especially, Legend grade can only be acquired from B9 and B10, so try to challenge these floors for high-graded Artifacts.

How to make the Artifacts even more perfect? 

Please read below for more info on the Conversion feature.

 

▷ [Artifact] Conversion


 

Artifact Conversion is a feature that allows you to change the sub-properties of Artifacts, like the conversion feature in the Rune Enchantment.

Artifact Conversion is divided into Normal Conversion and Special Conversion, and only Artifacts with power-up +12 can be converted.

Also, like the rune conversion, only one property can be changed for each Artifact, and the converted property can be converted repeatedly.

 

Normal Conversion

- Select one property and change it to a random one.

Conversion can be proceeded by using Conversion Stones that are dropped in the new dungeons [Steel Fortress/ Punisher's Crypt] with a fixed chance.

The amount of Conversion Stones used will be increased gradually whenever you use Conversion Stones on one Artifact.

 

Special Conversion

- Select one property and change it to a fixed one.

Conversion can be proceeded by using [Engraved Conversion Stones] that are crafted.

 


 

To craft Engraved Conversion Stones, Conversion Stones dropped in [Steel Fortress/ Punisher's Crypt] and monsters are needed as material. Also, the default grade of monsters used for material will define the grade of the crafted Engraved Conversion Stone.

 


 

In addition, the Engraved Conversion Stone will be crafted at random depending on the type and attribute of the material monster.

If you use Fire/ HP monster as material, either Fire Engraved Conversion Stone or HP Engraved Conversion Stone will be crafted

 

For instance, if you used the Fire Death Knight (HP type) as crafting material, either Fire Engraved Conversion Stone or HP Engraved Conversion Stone will be crafted.

Engraved Conversion Stones can be used on the Artifacts of the same type.

 

If the Artifact matches the characteristics of monster and situation, its effect will be amplified. This is different from the runes with good stats which can be useful for most Monsters.

 

If the property increases the damage dealt with attacking together, the property will be useful on Dark Neostone Agent or Fire Inugami.

If it increases the Defense, it will be useful on Wind Living Armor or Fire Frankenstein.

 

Artifacts can be used to amplify and enhance the ability of Monsters.

We tried to list up the sub-properties so users will be able to figure out which sub-properties are good for which monsters with ease.

We hope you will compose the perfect team for new dungeons, farm Artifacts and build up your Monsters to be stronger.​

 

 

With the new equipment, there will be a big change in the game. This means the existing gameplays will be impacted too.

Many of you will be worried about farming the new equipment.

To lessen this burden, we have made the following improvements in the Cairos Dungeon.

 

▶ Cairos Dungeon Improvement


 

- [Giant's Keep/ Dragon's Lair/ Necropolis] will have one attribute each.

The image shows that the all floors of the Giant's Keep are changed to Water. Each dungeon will have one attribute, based on the attribute of the B10.

This way, beginners will be able to form a monster deck that will work on B1 to B10 floors.

 

- [Giant's Keep/ Dragon's Lair/ Necropolis] will be expanded to B12.

By expanding the floors, users will now be able to acquire better runes.

B11 and B12 will have higher difficulty level, but will also have better rewards.

For B12, only 6-star Runes will be dropped, and the drop rate of 6-star Legendary Runes will be increased by 2.5 times compared to B10.

Moreover, the drop rate of 6-star Ancient Legendary Runes will be increased by 1.5 times in the Dimension Hole.

 

The changes of this improvement won't relieve the stress of rune farming 100%, but we hope the changes will enable the early/ middle stage users to take step by step to conquer the floors for smooth farming process and result in the overall rune farming to be more accessible for everyone.

 

 

Last but not least, we're receiving many comments on [auto repeat battle] from a lot of Summoners.

As we mentioned in the user meet-up, we are also preparing [auto repeat battle] that's suitable for Summoners War.

One of the biggest concerns in introducing the auto repeat battle was that this feature would gradually reduce the time invested in the game and eventually lead to reduced interest in Summoners War overall.

Thus, we are developing auto repeat battle in our own way, so that Summoners can take meaningful action while running the auto repeat battle simultaneously.

For example, you would be able to run the auto repeat battle while setting the Runes.

We will do our best to create a more satisfying and enjoyable gameplay environment.​
